Why does Marketplace only show local results?
Marketplace ties every search to one location and radius. Here’s why, and how to see more.
Facebook Marketplace is designed around local pickup, so every search uses a location and a radius. It starts from where Facebook thinks you are, with a default radius that’s often around 40 miles.
Three reasons you see so little
- Your radius is small. Increase it in the location filter (up to 500 miles in the US, or 500 km in Canada).
- Your location is wrong. Facebook may have guessed from your network. Set it manually.
- One big circle still favours nearby listings. To properly cover a state or region, run several searches centred on different cities.
That last one is what this site automates. Answer three questions and we’ll build the searches for you.
