Ask the right questions first
- Is it still available, and can you hold it until a set date?
- Can you send more photos, or a quick video call?
- Exact dimensions and weight (for bulky items).
Shipping
Some listings offer Facebook’s shipping option. For others, only arrange courier or freight yourself with a reputable company. Never use a “shipping agent” the seller suggests.
Pickup
Confirm the day before you travel. Meet in a public place where possible, and bring a friend.
Paying
Pay in person after inspecting the item. Avoid deposits, wire transfers, gift cards and anyone who pressures you to move the chat off Facebook.
