How to change the Marketplace search radius
Every radius option explained, plus how to search beyond the 500-mile maximum.
The radius setting is in the same place as the location (see changing your location). The options are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 250 and 500, in miles in the US and in kilometres in Canada.
Picking one
- Small items and free stuff: 5–20 miles.
- Furniture: 20–60 miles.
- Cars and big purchases: 100–250 miles.
Going further than the maximum
Use several searches. That matters even more in Canada, where the maximum is 500 km. On our home page, choose “The whole country” and we’ll cover it with overlapping searches. For precise control, try MarketplaceRadius.com.
